The Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (MSPTM) will be holding a Mid-Year Seminar on Influenza A (H1N1) on Thursday, 20th August 2009, 3.00 - 5.00pm at our IMU Dewan Cancelor, Level 4, Bukit Jalil. The seminar is opened to all staff members and students. Those who wish to attend, kindly confirm your participation with CtME. Light refreshment will be served at the end of the seminar.Please inform the students to sign up with the batch reps before 19 August 2009.
I am sure all of you are aware of the increasing number of deaths from H1N1 and also the rapid transmission of this virus in Malaysia. Please take great care of yourself and do whatever u can to keep ur immune system strong! Maybe take more vitamin C? :p

Online Medical Reference
We are pleased to inform you that IMU and UpToDate have organized an unlimited access to UpToDate’s on-line trial until 31 August 2009. This is the second time the trial set-up for IMU.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, UpToDate is an on-line evidence-based medical reference service designed to answer clinical questions, quickly and concisely. Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone on Campus.

Car Stickers
Please be informed that with immediate effect all staff and student who come to IMU clinical school should have and display the IMU sticker on their vehicle. Without IMU sticker the Security Guards from Limbungan Setia Bhd will not allowed you to enter to IMU. For Seremban clinical school staff and students who have no sticker please collect it from me immediately.
Hilltop Carpark Tarring
We are currently negotiating with the administration to have our hilltop carpark tarred.
It will be properly painted to maximize space. However, it will not be sheltered.
We have put up a poll on our blog ( imusrc.blogspot.com) to find out how much students are willing to pay for it per day. The closing date for the poll is 24th of July 2009. We will use the results from the poll to discuss with the administration. Should you have any suggestions/comments, kindly head over to imucampus.com.
