All it Takes is 60 Minutes (Wee Kiat)

Well, since I'm so free after my Hustings, here's something for all of you to consider doing tomorrow:

The whole world has been talking about it.

You've seen it all over the place; television ads, billboards, email forwards, blogs, facebook. What is it you ask?

Date: 28 March 2009
Day: Saturday
Time: 8.30-9.30pm

Global climate change is a problem that has been worsening over the past decades. Glaciers have been melting all over the Arctic and Antarctic region, affecting the lives of many Arctic animals such as penguins and polar bears. The sea level has continuously risen, and Malaysia just seems to be getting hotter every year!

In 31 March 2007, in an effort to fight global warming, Sydney made a powerful statement. By turning off its lights. What began as an effort by a single city, has caught the attention of the entire world. In 2008, a total of 35 countries and over 370 cities joined in the event, and now on the 28th of March 2009, you can lend a helping hand to make this Earth Hour even BIGGER. Be part of the 1 billion people in the fight against global warming, just by SWITCHING OFF YOUR LIGHTS for 60 minutes from 8.30 to 9.30 pm.

The whole world's switching off their lights.

What about you?
Turn the lights off and see the world in a new light.
